Did bitcoin ETF get approved? Breaking News

Amid the turmoil caused by the breach of the SEC's X account and the dissemination of a false post claiming Bitcoin ETF approval, indications persist that a decision might be imminent today.

A key executive from a potential Bitcoin ETF issuer shared with The Block that they anticipate approvals for S-1 forms later in the day. Additionally, reports from Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett echoed optimism among multiple potential ETF issuers regarding the likelihood of approvals arriving today.

Despite the consensus that a decision is expected, the exact timing remains uncertain. Bloomberg's ETF analyst Eric Balchunas predicted formal approvals to potentially surface between 4-6 pm ET, coinciding with the start of the Derby on Thursday. However, his colleague James Seyffart suggested approvals might extend until around 6 pm ET, possibly after the market closes.
